Recovery Time Objective
The recovery time objective (RTO) is defined as the maximum amount of time that the infrastructure can be down before the
company (or organization) starts suffering losses.
Recovery Point Objective
The recovery point objective (RPO) is defined as the maximum amount of data that a company (or organization) may lose before it starts suffering
losses.
Although it would be possible to state the RPO in a unit such as Mega Bytes, it is usually stated in a time based unit such as 30 minutes worth of data.
